PinCH is a dynamic engineering software tool with a complex business model in the background. The software PinCH allows engineers to use an iterative procedure to quickly and clearly optimize a process. As a foundation, the software architecture has been designed to respond quickly and update the data or charts in the various windows in real time. Implemented within PinCH is the WPF user interface technology from Microsoft.

The engineer will be guided by the software step by step through the pinch analysis. Several of the key features are as follows:

  • Continuous processes and Batch Processes
  • Coupling and Grouping Processes
  • Import and Export process data
  • Flexible Cost Functions
  • Material Data: vapor, various refrigerants
  • Variant analysis (technical, economical)
  • Design of Heat Exchanger Networks
  • Integration of heat pumps, combined heat and power engines, thermal storage units, etc.
  • Optimizing Energy Supply Systems
  • Area Optimization
  • Heat Storage Design
  • Multiple Operating Case Supertargeting
  • Single Product Batch Supertargeting
  • Simplified Time Slice Model
  • New Energy Targeting Analysis Function
  • Excel based E-Modules for easy calculation of process data
  • Choice of Currencies and the Magnitude of the Material Units
  • On-line Help System
  • Ergonomics
